Food not bombs

Vitaly is a "Food Not Bombs" social movement activist from Belarus. He is a vegetarian with strong civic attitude. He participates in a hardcore undeground music band. Every Saturday morning since 2007 Vitaly and a few of his friends cook food on their own initiative to serve it to poor people of Minsk.

Such kind of activism is also the way to show enormous number of people in need, number of people with lack of such basics as hot meals.

So volunteers are trying to attract society's attention to poverty and homelessness. Probably that's why the FNB activists often become a target to local authorities' pressure.

It is not just a charity. This act of non-violent direct action is a personal attempt of activists to build a better society to live in — based on equality, solidarity and non-commercial affairs.
